Research progress in 1997, by project, as summarized in the Report of the Director General

These summaries in the Report of the Director General 1997 contain information on a project basis. Each file contains a brief project summary, highlights of research progress during 1997, and next step activities for 1998. Collaborating institutions and IRRI contacts are also provided. These are the last updates for projects identified with IRRI's 1994-97 Medium-Term Plan (MTP). Some projects were terminated at the end of 1997. Others continue into the 1998-2003 MTP. Title and number changes and some project mergers for the new MTP are explained in the next step activities.
